Wednesday was the first day in “Pride Month,” a 30-day-long celebration of the ever-expanding LGBTQABCDEFG community.
Now, the original “gay and lesbian” community did indeed face oppression and persecution in recent history, and continues to do so across the world, so some form of commemoration is understandable for those who were actually victims of former mistreatment.
Of course, the fact that the LGB community has been stretched out to include all manner of “identities” to allow everyone and their mother (sorry, birthing person) to make this entire month about themselves shows just how non-victimized this community is in today’s America.
But setting so many other complaints about Pride Month itself aside, there is one question that remains: why is President Joe Biden seen as an “ally” in this “fight” for so-called equality?
True, Biden has bent the knee to the mob, with a White House intern dutifully tweeting on the morning of June 1:
“During Pride Month, we honor the resilience of LGBTQI+ people who are fighting to live authentically and freely. We reaffirm that LGBTQI+ rights are human rights. And we recommit to delivering protections, safety, and equality so everyone can realize the full promise of America.”
Now, Biden did say all of the right words, even if he neither wrote them, could fully articulate them, or could possibly explain what L, G, B, T, Q, I, or + stands for.
But this is a relatively new Biden. In fact, by today’s standards of unforgiving cancel culture, the old Biden is nothing but a revolting bigot who stood in the way of LGBTQI+ people living “authentically and freely.”
In 1973, for example, while speaking to a gay activist, Biden said, “My gut reaction is that they (homosexuals) are security risks but I must admit I haven’t given this much thought…I’ll be darned!”
I’ll be darned, indeed!
