Karine Jean-Pierre Is Just...Awful

Do you know how spectacularly stupid you have to be in order to be mentally out-paced by Joe Biden?

My disdain for the position of White House press secretary is hardly a secret. In fact, my first Substack post argued that the entire position is a distraction, designed to obfuscate the failures of the President of the United States:

In reality, the White House Press Secretary has only one responsibility — and one that is crucial to maintaining the notion that the federal government has an ounce of ability. To lie.

Yes, they stand in front of the media and lie to the American people. These lies take various forms — lies of denial, fabrication, or omission — but the result is the same. They intentionally deceive the media, running constant defense for their employer.

But the latest person to hold this position — famous black lesbian Karine Jean-Pierre who replaced Jen “Circle Back” Psaki one month ago — can’t even do that.

Frankly, she’s just awful.

In just 32 days, there are too many examples of Jean-Pierre’s utter ineptitude to list. Not only are her stuttered answers to clear questions routinely confused and nonsensical, she seems incapable of making it through a single press conference without referring to her binder of pre-prepared answers. And even when she eventually finds the right page with the right answer, she can’t even read it well enough to convince even the most loyal Democrat that she is the competent face of a competent administration.

Karine Jean-Pierre is asked if there are any updates on the baby formula shortage. She spends almost 20 seconds flipping through her binder before saying she has no update on it.

One stunning indication of Jean-Pierre’s status on the White House totem pole of intelligence (or lack thereof) came during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon.

“Does the president has the stamina, physically and mentally, do you think to continue on even after 2024?" Lemon asked.

Jean-Pierre’s response? “I can’t even keep up with him.”

Do you know how spectacularly stupid you have to be in order to be mentally out-paced by Joe Biden? Given that there are coma patients who have better communication skills than the president, this is either the biggest lie told by a White House press secretary in history (quite a feat) or an admission of unbelievable brainlessness.
