In the first episode of my new show, “Off Limits with Ian Haworth,” I discussed last year’s bizarre interaction with none other than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), in which she argued that Republicans who criticize her are only doing so because we’re obsessively sexually frustrated.

And while that argument is clearly…insane…there is something deeper about Ocasio-Cortez which is indicative of both the power the Left holds over our culture, and the power Ocasio-Cortez holds over the political narrative.

Full episodes are available on Sundays 9pm EST, exclusively on YouTube.

This “painful interaction” with is just one example of the Democratic Party’s weaponization of identity, and why AOC is actually the worst.

It reminds me of one of the cinematic masterpieces of our modern age: Mean Girls, where a group of teenagers called “The Plastics” spend every second of their day craving the adoration of everyone around them. When anyone points out that they’re actually terrible human beings, The Plastics just say they’re “obsessed.”

And this is the Left’s great trick. They elevate their heroes, based on identity politics alone, like your “group” is a solid replacement for ability, pushing them as ideological and cultural superstars.

The Left now has overnight authority figures who can spit out talking points to their heart’s content, all while using their identity categories as shields when they’re inevitably criticized for their terrible ideas.

After all, what happens when you point out that Kamala Harris is half predictive text machine, half human vacuum cleaner who cackled her way to the White House while being utterly incompetent?

What happens when you point out that Pete Buttigieg is very good at sounding smart while saying absolutely nothing at all, that he was only made Secretary of Transportation because he’s gay and likes trains, and that he took two months paternity leave for a child neither he nor his husband gave birth to — during a worldwide supply chain crisis — and no-one even noticed he was gone?

How does the Left respond? They go full mean girls.
