This Isn’t About Trump. It’s About You
Every day, anonymous Americans with far less financial and cultural clout than Donald Trump are victimized by this faceless conglomerate of control. They deserve your anger too.
On Monday evening, the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump announced in a statement. “Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”
Trump continued to argue that “[s]uch an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries,” and that “America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before.”
Meanwhile, neither the FBI nor the Biden Justice Department have commented on the reported search, and multiple journalists reported that White House officials claimed they had “no advance knowledge” of the raid — even stating that they learned of the raid from social media.
Soon after, Republicans condemned the raid, with many comparing the United States to a “Banana Republic.”
The problem here? That’s being kind to Banana Republics.
