Donald Trump loves to tell us Jews how much he loves Jews, and how much he hates antisemitism.

He really loves Jews, and he really hates antisemitism. Bigly.

He really loves Jews and really hates antisemitism so much that he’s working to deport Mahmoud Khalil, a Syrian-born professional activist responsible for fueling antisemitism on Columbia University’s campus and promoting Hamas propaganda.

That’s great…until you meet the man Trump just appointed as his new U.S. ambassador to Kuwait.

Amer Ghalib is 45-years-old, Muslim, and born in Yemen.

No problems so far.

In 2021, he became the first Muslim mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan.

Again, no problems so far.

What could possibly be wrong with the man Trump called “the greatest mayor in the world, who won’t let men participate in women’s sports” on Monday?

Here’s who Amer Ghalib is, as reported by Daniel Edelson for the Israeli outlet, ynetnews.

  • He dismissed reports of Hamas militants beheading and sexually assaulting victims on Oct. 7 as “lies.“

  • He blamed Joe Biden for spreading “false information and lies (e.g. beheaded babies and raped women).”

  • Hours before his appointment he liked a comment on Facebook that described Jews as “monkeys.”

  • He led a council vote to boycott companies that do business with what he called “Israeli apartheid.”

  • He said that “Palestine is fighting for a just cause” and claimed that “the only ethical option for Israel is to admit defeat and leave the land.”

  • He supported renaming a city street “Palestine Street” as an act of solidarity and cast the deciding vote in favor of the measure.

  • He refused to condemn a local council candidate’s social media post comparing Israel’s actions to the Holocaust.

  • He called Saddam Hussein — the man who invaded Kuwait in 1990 — a “martyr.”

I’m sorry, but if you’re going to celebrate yourself for fighting antisemitism and terrorism and anti-Western propaganda, you can’t then appoint someone who is all of these things combined!
